Connecting education
with nature.

TEREZA is an educational center that has been connecting young people with nature for over 45 years.

We create environmental education programs for children and students, inspire teachers and parents. Our aim is to move education and society towards sustainability. Over 1,400 schools in the Czech Republic participate in our programs, and each year we impact more than 230,000 children and students.

Our projects focus on climate education, inquire-based science learning and being outdoors, developing resilience and an active approach to the world.

In 2025, we….

➡️ conducted webinars, online courses, and seminars for more than 13,000 educators,
➡️ engaged nearly 11,000 people in the Ordinary Heroes Campaign, motivating them to live more sustainable,
➡️ planted 1,500 trees in school forests (with the help of 1,500 children),

➡️ published the first-grade science textbook that has the potential to influence the way an entire generation of children learns about nature,

➡️ contributed to the creation of a new Framework Educational Program for Czech elementary schools – especially in the area of sustainability competencies and environmental education topics,

➡️ delivered the BASE CAMP climate workshop to dozens of secondary schools – more than 3,000 students played it, and it also made it to the finals of the SDGs 2024 awards in the education category.

Each year, we
influence more than…

1420 schools,
9 900 teachers,
230 000 children.

We cooperate with the abroad.

Since 2021, we have been coordinating The GLOBE program for Europe and Eurasia.
The GLOBE Program is an international science and education program that provides students and the public worldwide with the opportunity to participate in data collection and the scientific process, and contribute meaningfully to our understanding of the Earth system and global environment.
